Eric Trump hailed the UAE leadership for its speed and innovation, saying it took his company just one month to get permits for the\u00a0Trump International tower\u00a0that was announced in Dubai earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere is no bureaucracy here,\u201d he said, comparing the UAE to Europe. \u201cIf they love an idea, if it’s a good idea, a smart idea, they say yes. We got permits for a building that’s 1,150 feet tall, with the highest swimming pool anywhere in the world, in one month, because they love the concept. They love the idea and they were willing to say yes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump was speaking at the Token2049 Dubai event which took place at Madinat Jumeirah on April 30 and May 1. With over 500 side sessions, the event brought together over 15,000 people in the crypto industry to exchange ideas and network. It is part of a global conference series that will take place at different locations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was on Tuesday that the 80-floor Trump International Tower was announced. The project will also have a Trump Members-only private club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accompanying Trump on stage were Zach Witkoff, co-founder of World Liberty Financial (WLF)- a decentralised finance protocol, owned by the Trump family and Justin Sun, a billionaire founder of the cryptocurrency TRON who went viral for purchasing an artwork of a taped banana in November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the event, it was announced that the stablecoin USD1 was selected for Abu Dhabi-based AI and advanced technology investor MGX\u2019s investment in the crypto exchange Binance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He commended the country for being futuristic. \u201cWhen I come over to the UAE, the leaders are saying, this is what I want to be in 30 years and I think that’s really beautiful.
