(We have) significantly improved cooling performance and reliability across the (Metro) network, while ensuring uninterrupted metro service,\u201d RTA underscored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RTA noted every summer presents for any public transport system in the region, noting in particular that Metro trains arrive every few minutes, and doors open every 2\u20134 minutes, bringing in large volumes of hot air that continuously enter the stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imgengine.khaleejtimes.com\/khaleejtimes-english\/2025-07-24\/9v7e017e\/Metro2.jpeg?width=1200&amp;format=auto\" alt=\"Dubai Metro cabins to stay at 24\u00baC this summer as ACs get upgrade \"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The maintenance works included the replacement and refurbishment of key components such as air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), chilled water pumps, extract fans, smoke extract fans, and pressurisation units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imgengine.khaleejtimes.com\/khaleejtimes-english\/2025-07-24\/a7vxnf24\/Metro3.jpeg?width=1200&amp;format=auto\" alt=\"Dubai Metro cabins to stay at 24\u00baC this summer as ACs get upgrade \"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Phase 2, a total of 876 ventilation and air conditioning assets were overhauled across 14 stations and two car parks along the Red Line, with no impact on train operations.
