Dubai\u2019s flagship carrier, Emirates, has temporarily suspended online advertisements and issued an alert warning passengers to be cautious of “deceptive” social media ads selling “fake tickets.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are aware of fraudulent advertisements currently circulating across social media platforms. This is an important notice to alert you regarding these deceptive ads that direct users to purchase fake tickets, share personal information, or click on malicious links. They often impersonate the official Emirates website \u2014 using lookalike links, branded visuals, and unauthorised trademarks,\u201d it said in a statement to its customers on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UAE flag carrier is one of the most sought-after employers and also the top choice of passengers for its world-class service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The world\u2019s most profitable airline said it has temporarily suspended all advertising on social media to safeguard its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo safeguard our customers and uphold brand integrity, Emirates has temporarily suspended all advertising on social media channels. We are actively collaborating with platform providers to swiftly identify and remove these fraudulent advertisements, often within minutes of their appearance,\u201d it said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour safety is our highest priority. We strongly encourage you to remain alert and carefully verify any suspicious content,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
